What is findateacher.Net?
findateacher.Net helps foreign language teachers and students find each other directly anywhere in Japan without having to go to a language school. Teacher sign-up is free. findateacher.Net was made for teachers by teachers and is NOT a language school. Rather, it is a nationwide network of private teachers who run thier own classes or schools. Teachers are not obligated to make a contract with findateacher.Net and findateacher.Net doesn't tell teachers what or how to teach (but will do our best to help if a teacher requests advice). We never decide how much teachers should charge for lessons OR take any money from lesson fees like some matching services.
Who Should Use findateacher.Net?
Teachers and non-teachers - whatever your status in Japan: a full time teacher, a foreign exchange student, in the military, in Japan on business, and so on. Anyone can use findateacher.Net to locate students. However, you must plan to be in Japan for at least 3 months to sign up.
Whether you just want to earn a little extra spending money or want to double your income - both are possible. For example, you could find just one student for spare time you have on Saturday afternoons or find several students for each day of the week. You can teach privately or gather students to make your own classes. Besides that, you'll get to meet some of the people who live near you.
How do students get my contact information?
After browsing SenseiSagasu.com (the student side of the site) and selecting up to 5 teachers, students pay 3800 yen for these teachers' contact information. After we verify payment, students are sent an email with teachers' email addresses and phone numbers (optional).
How Long Can I Be Registered?
As long as you like, of course. When you register, you will receive a password which will allow you to edit and/or delete your information at any time. If your schedule gets too full or if you go on vacation, you can log in and put yourself on "Break" until you are ready to have your record displayed again to students. Simple as that!
Requirements:
- Be fluent (or pretty darn close) in the language you'll teach
- Be IN Japan
- That's all!

ANYONE may call. findateacher.Net is NOT responsible if strange people call you at weird times and say bizarre things. It's rare - but happens.
findateacher.Net does not get involved in relationships between teachers and students after the contact information is sent to the student.
findateacher.Net reserves the right to remove teachers from the database at our own discretion.
